History of Galco

GALCO was founded by James C. Gallagher, Sr. in 1972, working from his home in Franconia Township, PA.  Several years later, GALCO became a “family” business when sons James Jr. & Charles joined the company.  In 1982, GALCO became an authorized vendor of the “Comdial Corporation” product line, and established an office in Allentown, Pa., adding a second office in Souderton, Pa. later that year.

Upon the death of James C. Gallagher, Sr. in 1992, James C. Gallagher, Jr. became president of the company and continues to run GALCO to this day.

In 1997, it became obvious that GALCO needed a larger, up-dated facility to better serve our customers, and to allow the company to expand and progress.  Our present location, a 5,000 square foot building at 151 Kelly Road in Quakertown, Pa. offers a fully stocked warehouse, sales office, training facilities and a service and installation department manned by factory trained and certified technicians.
